Venus is the second in order from the sun.  Having an equatorial diameter of 7531 miles.  A  mean distance from the sun of   67.2 million miles.  A period of revolution of 22 4.68days.

Venus is one of the planets that goes around the Sun. Venus is the lightest planet in solar system. When seen from Earth it looks like a star in the sky. It is Earth’s closet companion. Venus is the second closet planet to the Sun . It is the warmest  planet in the solar system . Venus  is almost the same size and mass as Earth .Venus also has huge mountains. Its surface is warm enough to melt lead . Venus has two types of motions; it orbits and rotates. A band of dense clouds spin around Venus . In past lava from erupting volcanoes formed the surface of Venus.  Venus was named after the ancient roman goddess of love and beauty. The planet is always covered with lava. Venus has been called Earth's twin  because the similarly weight ,size, and densities. Venus is  designated by the picture.
