Biomes

R.P.

A biome is a major regional or global community such as a grassland or desert characterized chiefly by the dominant  forms  of plant life and the prevailing climate.
The plants and animals of each biome have traits that help them surviving in their particular biome. Animals depend on other animals in smaller biomes. There are many biomes in the world. Tundra, taiga, forests, rainforests, grasslands, and deserts are all biomes. There are many animals that live in one biome. They all depend on different things according to their biome. Each biome has a relative location of where they mainly are. For instance, the rainforests are usually found near the equator. The tundra is mostly found in the northern regions while the taiga lies south of the tundra. Each biome has a special plant or animal that animals or people depend on. In forests, trees are the main plant that all animals depend on. In the tundra, the main plants are mosses, lichens, and short grasses. Biomes are very important for the Earth’s surface and animals. If you look at a map that shows biomes, you will see that each biome has a special place. Without biomes, the Earth would be very messed up.
