The turtle is in the class of Saurospida, order of Tesstudines and the family is Kinosternidae.
Habitat
They have a fresh water habitat so they can swim and bathe in the sun and search for food in the water and on land.
Description
They have a high domed shell to protect it from its predators and it is also their home to live in and sleep.

You can find the turtles in Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. Where there is a lot of water for them to go in.

The turtle is an omnivore with a broad diet. The turtle is a plant eater and they are meat eaters. They like to eat fish when they are in the water.

Their shells are mad of 59 to 61bones.The shell is part of the skeleton. Some turtles cannot put their legs and head in their shell.
