Description
Kangaroo’s weigh up to 145 pounds and 10 feet tall. Every kangaroo’s body is made for jumping. The tail is about 4 feet and front legs are short and slender. The kangaroo mostly eats grass and the kangaroo drinks milk and water. You can find this animal in Australia, New Guinea, and nearby islands. The kangaroo is not an endangered animal. A kangaroo can rip a dog to death with a single stroke. When a joey is about 4 months old, it can get out of its pouch and eat grass. When a kangaroo is getting chased, it can jump into a lake or a stream. Mother kangaroos have muscles to pump her milk down into the joey’s throat. A kangaroo can reach to speeds up to over 35 miles. A kangaroo can jump 6 feet high on the ground. Europeans found the first kangaroo in Australia. The head of a kangaroo is really small, and the lip of a kangaroo is relatively small. Kangaroos are good swimmers; kangaroos would go to water if there is a threat. In hot weather, kangaroos would go to the shade and lick their front paws and rub it on their chest. The kangaroo would eat at the afternoon and eat early in the morning too. Kangaroos can last long without any water to support them. Kangaroos live in organized groups called mobs, the mobs leader are male kangaroos.
