Description
All female Bald Eagle can reach to 43 in, in length. Bald stands for white They have heavy hooked beaks, strong feet and large curved claws. Bald Eagles use the same remote stick nests. The Bald Eagle is the common name for a North American bird of prey. Its range includes Alaska and Canada. The species was on the brink of extirpation in the continental United States late in the twentieth century, largely because of anthropogenic factors (hunting, loss of habitat, and pollution). Human activity led to its reduction to only about 412 nesting pairs. The Bald Eagle has been officially reclassified from endangered to threaten. The Bald Eagles family is birds. It’s habitat is on long tall tree branches. They lay their nest there.
Class
More than 50 species of Bald Eagles exist and 30 species of golden eagle (Booted Eagle). The countries you can find the Bald Eagles are North America, Central America, South America, South Pacific, Asia, Africa and finally Europe. The Bald Eagles eat fish. The Bald Eagle can get a fish with its strong feet and kill a fish with its long curved claws. A North American eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) characterized by a brownish-black body and a white head and tail in the adult.
Adaptations: Eagle nests, called “eyries”, are built as high as possible, usually 60-100 feet off the ground, to maintain better visibility. New nests average five feet across and two feet deep. Mated pairs use the same nest year after year, remodeling them by adding feathers, moss, sticks and branches. After repeated use, nests may reach more than 10 feet wide and weigh several tons! Preferring solitude, bald eagles do not like to nest near humans.
