The Tabby cat is the most domestic cat in the world. You can spot the tabby by the M on their forehead and their distinctive design. The Egyptians thought the tabby cat was related to the moon and worshiped them. The life span of a tabby cat is 15 years in the wild and 30 years being domesticated. There are 37 species of tabby cat in the world.
If you find a tabby you will have to find out its pattern which could be 1 of 4 patterns. One pattern of the tabby cat is classic which is when there is a high color contrast when you look at its fur. Another type of the tabby cat is the Mackerel or stripped tabby. The stripped tabby is the most common fur pattern on a tabby cat. When you look at a stripped tabby you will see necklace like rings in the front of their chests. The spotted tabby is another pattern of the tabby cat, and it is mostly seen in North America. The last pattern of the tabby cat’s fur is Agouti or ticked. If you look at a ticked tabby cat in the sunlight its fur will shimmer.
The class of the tabby cat is Mammalia. The order of the tabby cat is Carnivora. The family of the tabby cat is Felidae. The genus of the tabby cat is Felis. The species of the tabby cat is Felis Silvestris.
The first habitat of the tabby cat is Egypt. Then the cat was brought to Greece and Rome and then to America. The tabby cat can be 8-10 inches long and they most resemble the tiger. They also have eyelid skin and have mascara like lines coming from their eye to their cheek. The tabby cat’s fur can be black, red, blue, and chocolate, cream.
If you were looking for tabby cats in different countries you would find them in North America, South America, Rome, and Greece. The tabby cat eats chicken, turkey, rabbit, lamb, tuna, mice, and rats. The tabby cat is not endangered. The tabby cat is a very important animal in the past and present society.
