Description
The Bengal Tiger has a reddish-orange coat with black stripes. It also has some white spots. The Bengal tiger has very long canines.

The Bengal tiger eats most meats.

You can find the Bengal tiger in most of Asia.

Is the Bengal endangered?
Poaching has killed a lot of Bengal tigers so the Bengal is endangered. If poaching continues, this tiger will become extinct. There are only 3000 Bengal tigers left.

Interesting Facts:
The Bengal tiger’s roar can be heard from 2 miles away. This tiger has the longest canines of all mammals. The Bengal has very good hearing and sight for hunting at night. Their skin is striped in the same pattern as their fur. No two Bengal tiger’s stripes are the same. 3 tiger subspecies became extinct during 20th century. The Bengal tiger can eat over 88 lbs. of meat in one sitting. This tiger is known as the holy animal in some countries. A group of Bengals is called a streak. Bengal tigers are VERY good swimmers.
